Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Locatio's public marketing pages (the ones on locatio.uk) don't set advertising, marketing or third-party tracking cookies at all. The only cookies involved are the strictly necessary ones that keep you securely signed in when you use the interactive tool. We don't sell your data, and no area can pay to rank higher.
When you sign in to the Locatio tool, our authentication provider (Clerk) sets essential cookies to keep your session secure and remember that you're logged in. These are required for the service to function — without them you couldn't stay signed in — and under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations they don't require consent.
We may use privacy-friendly, first-party analytics to see how the site is used and improve it. Where we do, it is measured as aggregate statistics that don't identify you, is never combined with advertising, and is never shared with third parties for their own purposes. Under the UK Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, analytics used solely for these statistical purposes don't require opt-in consent — but you can object at any time (see "Your choices" below).
We don't use advertising or marketing cookies, ad-network pixels, or cross-site tracking, and we don't build profiles of you for advertising. Our business is scoring places from public data — not selling your attention.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or remove them and tell you when one is set. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop you signing in to the tool. If we introduce analytics, a simple opt-out will appear here; in the meantime you can object at any time by emailing us at hello@locatio.uk.
